Meeting Dates and Deadlines

The dates listed below, apply to Full Board applications, continuations, modifications, or for other submissions the IRB reviewer has referred to the Full Board for further input and review. The IRB generally meets on the 3rd Monday of the month; however, the date is subject to change to avoid a Monday holiday or to ensure a quorum.

• Allow up to four (4) weeks for processing of Exempt and Expedited protocols. Allow at least six (6) weeks for Full Board submissions. 
• Some Full Board submissions may be required to be re-reviewed at a subsequent meeting. Please plan accordingly.  

The deadline for full board protocol submission is 15 calendar days (approximately three weeks) prior to the meeting date. Protocols received after this date will not be reviewed by the IRB committee until the following month.

If you determine or are notified by the IRB Administrator, that your proposed protocol is "Full Board," you must submit your application to the IRB Administrator by the submission deadline. Any protocols submitted after that month's deadline will be reviewed at the next month's meeting.
