The Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Quality Improvement reports to Assistant Provost for Faculty and Curriculum. The Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Quality Improvement is responsible for coordinating the general education assessment, academic program assessment, academic support programs/services assessment, academic program review, and course evaluation. In addition, the office provides support for ensuring compliance with the Southern Association for Schools and Colleges Commission on Colleges' (SACSCOC) standards, the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) standards, as well as those of other specialized accrediting agencies.
The mission of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Quality Improvement is to provide leadership support for strengthening a culture of evidence and improvement that serves as a catalyst for improving student learning and enhancing institutional effectiveness at Radford University.
To realize this mission, the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Quality Improvement is responsible for coordinating the general education assessment, academic program assessment, academic support services assessment, academic program review, and course evaluation. The sole purpose of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Quality Improvement is to ensure continuous improvement of all academic programs and support services thereby maintaining the integrity and quality of academic qualifications that students received from Radford University.
