Student Assistants and Student Fellows
- Tyler Blalock is pictured here with Prof. Rachel Santos at the International Problem-Oriented Policing Conference. Tyler was a graduate student fellow in the center and was a crime analyst with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg, NC Police Department. She was a criminal justice major/crime analysis and criminal intelligence minor ('21) and earned an MS in criminal justice with and a graduate certificate in crime analysis ('23).
- Trey Bussey was a criminal justice major/crime analysis minor ('20) and earned his MS in criminal justice and a graduate certificate in crime analysis ('22). Trey served as a graduate teaching fellow and taught four sections of the department's policing course. His research focuses on crime analysis, police officer health and safety, as well as police use of force. He is currently in the Ph.D. program in criminal justice at the University of Cincinnati.
- Tayler Hover was a criminal justice major/crime analysis and criminal intelligence minor ('20) and earned an MS in criminal justice with and a graduate certificate in crime analysis ('22). Tayler worked on several research projects in the Center related to community policing and criminal intelligence analysis systems. She started her career as a crime analyst with the Raleigh, NC Police Department.
- Dana Ours, criminal justice major/crime analysis and criminal intelligence minor ('23) worked with Prof. Rachel Santos to develop a police guidebook on the problem of and police response to "Theft and Burglary of Firearms from Vehicles and Residences." They are pictured here at Radford University's Student Engagement Forum. Dana is now a sworn police officer at Roanoke County, VA Police Department.
