At Radford University, Highlander pride is shared loud and clear, but until recently, something was missing. Fans, including Radford alumna Faye Marcum ’71, often found themselves straining to hear the commentators and decided to help improve the fan experience.

Nayshon Mosley-Milford, Ed.D., dean of student success at Chicago State University, is joining Radford University as an American Council on Education (ACE) Fellow for the 2024-25 academic year.

Radford University experienced year-over-year growth for the first time since 2019, as fall 2024 preliminary census figures captured on Sept. 9 revealed a total of 7,686 total students, an increase over fall 2023’s headcount.

The Radford University Board of Visitors conducted its first quarterly meetings of the 2024-25 academic year Thursday and Friday, Sept. 5-6, at locations on the Radford main campus.

As the fall 2024 semester begins at Radford University, the Carilion Clinic Foundation has invested in the education of 52 Highlanders studying to become healthcare professionals. The healthcare organization has committed $100,000 in scholarship support.

The Radford University Board of Visitors will hold its quarterly meetings on Sept. 5-6, 2024 in Martin Hall, 915 East Main Street, and Kyle Hall, 701 Tyler Avenue, Radford, Virginia. A New Member Orientation will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2024 in Martin Hall.

On Aug.16, Radford University had the privilege of welcoming one of its most accomplished alumni, Eugene Naughton, a 1989 graduate and the current president of The Dollywood Co., to kick off the 2024-2025 academic year for university employees.
