Roanoke Location Move-in

• Please arrive during your drop-off window to unload, but do not arrive early or late as there is limited reserved parking available.
• When you arrive, please pull into the parking lot at 635 S. Jefferson St, Roanoke, VA 24016. Please refer to the Roanoke Location Move-In Parking Map [PDF] for help finding the parking lot.
• Staff located at the entrance of the parking lot will give you instructions about where to temporarily park. They will be wearing identifiable shirts.
• Once you are in the parking lot, go to the Patrick Henry lobby to check-in and obtain your key and Room Condition Report.
• Please be sure you have your OneCard; it will serve as your ID for check-in. If you do not have your OneCard, a driver’s license can serve as your ID for check-in. When you check in, you will be given a Prox card, which will give you access to the Patrick Henry and the elevator.
• After you have checked in, please return to your vehicle and await instructions to bring your vehicle to the drop-off location.
• When you drive your vehicle to the drop-off location, one person will need to stay with your vehicle.

The drop-off location should be used only to drop-off items, as parking will take place at RUC.   

• Once you have dropped off all items in your room, please move your vehicle to the RUC parking areas.
• There will be a shuttle from RUC to the Patrick Henry. Pick-up will take place outside the 3rd floor lobby. Look for a vehicle with a Radford University decal on the side.
• Once you are situated in your room, check everything listed on your Room Condition Form (instructions will be provided at check-in). Be sure to document any pre-existing issues to avoid charges for damages unaccounted for at the time of move-in.
• Report any facilities issues you encounter to our staff so that we can investigate and report.

• Campus community volunteers called “Highlander Haulers” will be around to assist residents as they move-in. Volunteers will have on identifiable shirts.
• Haulers will not move furniture and other large items.
• There will be some carts available to use while dropping items off.
• You are welcome to bring your own carts and dollies to support your move.
