CVPA Calendar
April brings more events than any other month of the year, with plays, concerts, a fashion show, student art exhibitions and TWO dance concerts, the Student Choreography Showcase on April 8 and 9, and the Spring Dance Concert (formerly known as "Dancing on the Edge") pm April 16, 17 and 18. All events are open to the public and most are completely free of charge. You don't want to miss anything.

Neighborhood Watch, 2025 (22 X 30, gouache on stretched paper). The artist, Cher Scott
is one of two M.F.A. candidates whose work will be on display in the Tyler Gallery
from April 10 - 18 (reception April 10, 5 p.m.) She describes herself as an "artist
of hyper-decorative domestic scenes and imagery that counter-balance retro aesthetics
and feminist themes."

Radford University will present its 25th International Guitar Festival on April 10
and 11, featuring internationally acclaimed performers, exotic instruments, free public
concerts and educational masterclasses on the main campus. Among the performers are
Duo Chinoiserie (Bin Hu and Jing Xia) known for blending guzheng and guitar. Chris
Wilke will also be playing the rarely heard Baroque Lute.
