Harmony In Motion is the student organization affiliated with Radford University’s Department of Dance. We act as liaisons between the faculty and its students, we bring in guest artists to teach and create work, and more importantly, we provide an environment where you will feel welcome and heard.
The Department of Dance Chair matches each student with the most suitable advisor. All students in the College of Visual and Performing Arts also have a faculty advisor. Students can look up their faculty advisor in their Starfish network and should feel free to email or stop by during their faculty advisor’s office hours.
Every semester, you will meet with your advisor for a one-on-one appointment during the weeks designated for course planning. You receive a pin number to complete registration online and determines dance courses to enroll in for the upcoming semester.
Dance courses are pre-registered, meaning that the department registers students into dance courses. The semester course planning sessions serve as a formal opportunity to discuss any concerns you may have and/or any concerns the department may have regarding the student's progress technically, creatively, and academically.
Financial aid opportunities for undergraduate dance students consists of academic scholarships, work-study positions, and dance-specific scholarships.
