Winter commencement is held in Preston Auditorium.
Spring commencement is held on Moffett Quad for undergraduates and at The Dedmon Center
for graduate students.
In the event of inclement weather please consult the university homepage for announcements of alternate locations.
Winter commencement tickets are required as the ceremony is held at Preston Auditorium
and seating is limited.
Spring commencement tickets are only required in the event of inclement weather.
Tickets are not required for graduate student commencement ceremonies.

Final graduation clearance processes begin immediately after final grades are issued and can take several weeks. Students may expect to see their degree or certificate reflected on their Radford University transcript within 6 weeks of the end of semester. Please contact graduation@radford.edu for assistance. The Financial Aid Office will be required to review your eligibility for any term after you have originally applied to graduate, to confirm that you are still eligible to receive financial aid. Federal regulations state that courses must be required for graduation in order to be eligible to receive financial aid. You will only be eligible to receive aid for required courses (list will be provided by the Registrar’s Office). If you have specific questions, please contact the Financial Aid Office.
Diplomas are shipped via USPS approximately 6-8 weeks after your commencement date so it’s critical to make sure your diploma mailing address is up to date. Learn about changing your diploma mailing address.
Starting in spring 2024 graduates receive a digital diploma and printed diploma. Links to digital diplomas are sent via text and Radford University email. Printed diplomas are mailed directly to students from our diploma printing partner, Parchment, via USPS.
Diplomas will arrive 6-8 weeks after your commencement date so make sure to provide the correct diploma mailing address. If you need to update your diploma mailing address, follow the instructions below:

Students may report a damaged diploma in their Parchment Learner Account to receive a replacement.
This option is for students who are required to obtain a notarized diploma. Login or create your Parchment Learner Account to a notarized diploma. Please note that processing time will be longer for notarized copies. Reprinted diplomas will bear the signatures of the current administration.
