Zehui Dai is recently appointed Humanities Program Coordinator of the Virginia Governor’s
School for the Visual and Performing Arts and Humanities. She also serves as an Assistant
Professor of Communication Studies in the School of Communication and the Associate
Director of Women’s and Gender Studies Program at Radford University. Starting in
Fall 2024, she will also serve as an honor faculty fellow for the Honor College at
Radford University.
Since joining Radford University, Dai has taught a variety of courses, such as Communication
Research Methods, Argumentation and Advocacy, Health Communication, Organizational
Communication, and Interpersonal Communication. Moreover, Dai’s work focuses on themes
related to health, relationships, social justice, and advocacy. Her research has been
published in many journals, including Health Communication, American Behavioral Scientist, Social Science Computer Review,
Journal of Social and Personal Relationships, and Journal of Perinatal Education.
Dai will be one of the social media content creators for this year’s Governor’s school.
Dai earned her doctorate in Media and Communication from Bowling Green State University.
She also holds a master’s degree in Communication Studies from the University of Arkansas.
