The McGlothlin Center for Global Education and Engagement provides admitted international students with the necessary paperwork to apply for a student visa prior to entering the United States.
Students can pursue an F-1 Visa if they are seeking a full degree program at Radford University. Your I-20 will be sent via email when ready.
The J-1 visa category is intended for students coming to Radford University for an exchange program (typically 1 or 2 semesters). Your DS-2019 will be sent via email when ready.
You may not enter the U.S. on your F-1 or J-1 visa more than 30 days prior to the report date on your I-20 or DS-2019.
Since visa requirements change from time to time, please check with the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in your area to ensure there are no additional documents you will need when applying for your visa.
When you go to the American embassy or consulate in your country and present your I-20 or DS-2019, the Consular Officer will place a visa stamp (usually in the form of a sticker) on a page inside your passport.
