The Radford University Master of Health Administration program is a candidate for
accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education
(CAHME). In addition to accrediting graduate programs in health administration, CAHME
is a partner in the resources and development of healthcare management professionals
and provides benchmarking to ensure that students are prepared to lead healthcare

The Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) program at our main campus campus in Radford,
Virginia was approved in 2008 by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia
(SCHEV) and initially accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy
Education (ACOTE) in 2011. Since that time, additional accreditation actions have
been granted by ACOTE. In April of 2019, the MOT program at our Roanoke location (Radford
University Carilion) was fully accredited by ACOTE and in 2023 the RU MOT program
was granted permission to add a hybrid MOT track with an additional cohort.

Graduates of our MOT program sit for theNational Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)exam following graduation and after confirmation of meeting all exam eligibility criteria,
including successful completion of all level II fieldwork components.
Prospective students who have any criminal or professional records are encouraged
to utilize NBCOT's early determination and associated character review in order to
determine whether eligibility to take the exam at the end of the program may be in
jeopardy. We highly recommend initiating this process before enrollment.

At its 2023 March meeting, the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant,
Inc. (ARC-PA) placed the Radford University Physician Assistant Program sponsored by Radford University on Accreditation-Probation status until its next review in 2025 March.
Probation accreditation is a temporary accreditation status initially of not less
than two years. However, that period may be extended by the ARC-PA for up to an additional
two years if the ARC-PA finds that the program is making substantial progress toward
meeting all applicable standards but requires additional time to come into full compliance.
Probation accreditation status is granted, at the sole discretion of the ARC-PA, when
a program holding an accreditation status of Accreditation - Provisional or Accreditation
- Continued does not, in the judgment of the ARC-PA, meet the Standards or when the capability of the program to provide an acceptable educational experience
for its students is threatened.
Once placed on probation, a program that fails to comply with accreditation requirements
in a timely manner, as specified by the ARC-PA, may be scheduled for a focused site
visit and is subject to having its accreditation withdrawn.

for the practice of physical therapy and are required to sit for the national licensure

The Respiratory Therapy program at Radford University is accredited by the Commission
on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC), program number 200312. The CoARC accredits
respiratory therapy education programs in the United States. To achieve this end,
it utilizes an ‘outcomes based’ process. Programmatic outcomes are performance indicators
that reflect the extent to which the educational goals of the program are achieved
and by which program effectiveness is documented.
Respiratory Therapy, B.S. Post Licensure Degree Advancement Track Accreditation
The Degree Advancement Respiratory Therapy program at Radford University is accredited
throughtheSouthern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges(SACSCOC)and the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) and will be seeking
accreditation from the Commission On Accreditation for Respiratory Care (COARC).
Social work regulatory boards require that social work degrees must be obtained from
programs of social work that are accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). Both the B.S.W. and M.S.W. at Radford University are accredited by CSWE with full
accreditation until 2030 and therefore meet the educational requirements to become
a licensed social worker in other states. Some states may have requirements beyond
the educational requirements in order to be licensed.
