Staff Senate
The Radford University Staff Senate was created in 1995 to give classified staff a voice in the governance of Radford University.
Staff Senate meetings are open to the university community and are usually held on the third Thursday of each month beginning at 9 a.m. All university staff are invited and encouraged to attend.
Meetings are via Zoom and in-person in Heth Hall room 043. Please join us for our monthly meetings. Let your voice be heard! Meetings begin at 9 a.m. unless otherwise noted.

May, June and July 2027 are a transition period and there will NOT be meetings during that time.
Goals
- Foster Connection and Community:Strengthen relationships across campus by actively engaging with staff and cultivating a supportive, inclusive environment where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued.
- Increase Staff Participation and Voice:Encourage broader staff involvement to ensure clear, consistent communication with university leadership, allowing us to effectively represent staff perspectives and advocate for meaningful change.
Call for Representatives
As a Staff Senate Representative, you will play a critical role in representing the interests and concerns of staff members within the department. You will collaborate with fellow Senate members to address staff-related matters and contribute to the overall betterment of our campus environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a voice for staff in Senate discussions and decisions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to identify and address staff needs, concerns, and suggestions.
- Engage in regular meetings and contribute constructively to Senate initiatives.
- Foster a sense of community and communication among staff and the wider campus community.
- Participate in committees and working groups focused on staff welfare and development.

If you would like to join Staff Senate as an Officer, send your name to Staff Senate President Fallon Kreye. Once nominations are received, there will be a call for a vote.
