IV. Prerequisites: HSCI 300 and STAT 200.
V. Course Description:
Public health-related concepts and applications are integrated through systematic
examination of a selected topic. The relevant literature is evaluated and used to
develop a capstone project. This course is the first part of a two-semester project.
Note(s): Applied Learning designated course.
VI. Goals and Objectives of the Course:
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will:
- Select a project topic aligned with current public health practice and professional
interest.
- Perform literature searches to identify appropriate articles and data related to the
selected topic.
- Evaluate literature related to the selected topic.
- Develop methods for the capstone project.
- Deliver a written and oral presentation of the related literature and capstone project
methodology.
