V. Course Description:
Provides an overview of global environmental health issues. Chemical, physical, and
biological agents in the environment that can affect health are identified. Environmental
health hazards, exposure pathways and control, and environmental health regulations
are introduced. The interactions of cultures and behaviors on reducing environmental
exposures and improving global environmental health are described and compared.

Upon completion of the course, the student will:
- Identify chemical, physical, and biological agents in the environment that can impact
health.
- Describe strategies for reducing environmental and occupational exposures and hazards.
- Compare global environmental health issues across cultures.
- Discuss environmental health regulations and behaviors for compliance.
