NUTR 364: Field Experience in Nutrition and Dietetics
Prerequisites: NUTR 301, 310, 316, 320

Provides junior level NUTR students the opportunity to integrate previous course work with practical field experience. Includes 5 hours of instruction and 75 on-site practicum hours.
Detailed Description of Course Content
This course provides expectations for professional behavior at a work-site. Students
then obtain their own supervised, practical field experience.
Detailed Description of Conduct of Course
Students will receive 5 hours of instruction and will obtain their own placement in
one or more Nutrition and Dietetics-related work settings to obtain 75 hours of experience.
Students will log experiences and complete a summative assignment.

Successful completion of the course will enable the student to:

Assessment measures may include, but are not limited to, interviews with site supervisors,
performance appraisals by faculty, activity logs, and summative assignments
