V. Course Description: Concepts of diversity, equity, and inclusion are examined with a focus on improving population health outcomes through analyzing disease prevention and health promotion concepts.

Population focused disease prevention and health promotion concepts are analyzed. Influences of social, biological, cultural, and geographic variables on health outcomes are explored. Concepts of diversity, equity, and inclusion are examined with a focus on improving population health outcomes.

This online course may include but is not limited to seminar discussions (faculty and student led), lectures, guest speakers, case studies, written assignments, projects, and other teaching-learning strategies as appropriate. Because the course is online, audio or video presentations/lectures, discussion boards, chat rooms, and other instructional technology strategies may be used.
