MUSC666. Travel Study
Credit Hours (1-6).
Academic study involving domestic and/or international travel. May be taken again for credit with different topics or areas of study for a maximum of six semester hours credit.
Detailed Description of Content of Course
Fifteen (15) to one hundred and eighty (180) hours involving lectures, attendance at workshops/master classes/concert/recital/operatic or other musical performances, visitation of historical sites or concert facilities.
Detailed Description of Conduct of Course
This course will be conducted by involving any or all of the experiences outlined in the Detailed Description as appropriate to the specific location and available opportunities for musical performances and facility visitation.
Goals and Objectives of the Course
Students with should gain on-location world class musical experiences and a comparative perspective of the highest standards of the musical art on a global rather than local scale.
Assessment Measures
Grades will be based on an assessment of written logs and essays.
