V. Course Description:
Off campus, pre-professional, experiential learning relating to principles of healthcare
management are provided. Students complete a minimum of 120 hours of supervised observation/activity
within approved medical practice management facilities.
Note(s): Applied Learning designated course. This is a pass/fail course.

VII. Goals and Objectives of the Course:
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Identify and describe the host institution and population served.
- List detailed internship activities that support requisite clock hours and identified
learning goals and outcomes.
- Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills.
- Exhibit ethical and professional behavior, as supported by a positive evaluation from
the site supervisor.
- Analyze the internship experience as it relates to principles of healthcare management.
