The inaugural Radford Community Fest will take place August 24, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. This street festival will take place on Main street between Tyler Avenue and Third Avenue.

Students, families, community members and visitors are invited to join us for a day of live music, entertainment, vendors, food trucks, a kid’s zone play area and a beer garden. Traffic will be redirected during this time. Radford Community Fest is free to attend! Food, drinks, and crafts are available for purchase.

Vendor registration is closed as all spots have been purchased.

The Radford Community Fest is a new event proudly co-hosted by the City of Radford and Radford University.

What type of entertainment will there be?
The main stage will be at the west end of the street. Live music will be offered all day!

Where can I park?
Handicapped parking is offered at The Hub at 1000 E Main St, Radford. If that lot fills up, guests are welcome to utilize handicapped parking on the Radford University campus.

Street parking is allowed as posted throughout the City of Radford. Additional city and university parking lots are available.

The Radford Transit will be in service and will drop off at the Bus Hub located at 1000 E. Main St.

What’s in the Kid’s Zone?
The Kid’s Zone will feature five inflatable games, a shaded rest and coloring area, and a special class taught by Fluidity Performance! The kid’s zone is completely free and is sponsored by Fraternity & Sorority Life at Radford University as part of their commitment to service and local community engagement.

I’m a registered vendor. What do I need to prepare for?
Those who registered for a tent space will receive communication from festival planners.  Registrants may bring their own tents, tables and chairs to build the 10 foot by 10 foot space. Parking directions will be sent via email ahead of the event.

So, is downtown closed?
No! Downtown east end merchants are absolutely open and would love for you to stop in.
