Garth Mills, DMS, PA-C joined the Radford University Physician Assistant program faculty
in March 2024. He holds two Bachelor of Science degrees, one in Biology from the University
of Mary Washington in 2003 and the other in Physician Assistant studies from Jefferson
College of Health Sciences (now Radford University) in 2007. He obtained a Doctor
of Medical Science degree from Butler University in 2023.
Prior to coming to Radford University, Dr. Mills worked clinically for 17 years in
emergency and internal medicine and served as a Lead Advanced Practice Provider for
SCP Health in the LewisGale Health system. During his clinical career, he had the
pleasure of precepting students for 15 years. He enjoyed teaching so much that it
became a career goal to move into academia full time. Dr. Mills continues to practice
clinically in emergency medicine.
Dr. Mills resides in Roanoke County with his wife, two sons, and three dogs and enjoys
basketball, golf, running, and gaming in his free time.
